Ich steh auf Salbei

I love sage

Meanwhile, sage is well known and, above all, popular as a wonderful healing agent. In my last blog article I gave you 5 tips about sage.

Today I have some great tips for hot days and the unpleasant sweaty feet that sometimes come with them.

In the hot season we cannot avoid sweating, including on our feet and especially on the soles of our feet. This process is completely normal and also very important for our body, as it helps to balance the body temperature.

But even though it is healthy to sweat on your feet, it is not always pleasant. In fact, it is often perceived as very annoying and unpleasant.

That's why I have a few great tips for you to counteract this and make your feet feel better again!

Take a sage foot bath.

Sage is antibacterial and also antifungal, so it is really ideal for sweaty feet.

Pour 8 - 10 fresh sage leaves with 1 liter of boiling water and let this mixture steep for about 15 minutes, then remove the sage leaves from the water.

Then mix this broth with cold water and bathe your feet in it for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then dry them well and repeat the process twice a week or daily if necessary.

A second very good tip is to mix sage oil with a more neutral body oil (eg jojoba oil) and rub it on your feet, preferably in the morning. This should help to combat the unpleasant smell and help your feet feel pleasant.

Sage also inhibits sweat production when taken internally. A daily cup of sage tea is also said to help. But take a break after about 20 days, as sage tea, due to its high tannin content, can also lead to stomach problems.

Have fun trying.
