Leaf ring rose forged into a ring

The rose leaf ring is taken from a real sage leaf. The leaf of the sage was reproduced directly in the metal and is included in the manufacturing process of the ring. This means that it is not possible to make a ring twice. The rose leaf ring is open at the back, so it can be enlarged by about 2 sizes and also reduced by about 2 sizes. But please only adjust it once and then leave it in the set size, because frequent bending back and forth can lead to a predetermined breaking point and the ring will fall into 2 pieces. Please note that the wider a ring is, the larger you have to choose. So if you measure a very narrow, fine ring and determine the ring size yourself, you should definitely add at least 1, preferably 2 sizes when buying the sage leaf ring. The rings are open at the back and can be easily adjusted - but if you open them too wide, they will no longer sit so perfectly on the finger.

Sage and its effects

More than 900 species of sage are known. Sage was originally native to the Mediterranean region and in southern France, Italy and southern Croatia you can still often find wild sage. The plant now grows throughout Europe and in central Europe it is often cultivated in gardens or on windowsills. Sage contains a particularly high amount of vitamins and nutrients and, above all, essential oils. They have antibacterial, antiviral and antitumor effects and also provide the typical sage taste. Sage has many areas of effect, to name one: chew one or two sage leaves after eating. This will clean your teeth and can even whiten them.

The rose leaf ring is open at the back due to the natural leaf shape. It can be enlarged or reduced by 1 to 2 ring sizes. Much more is not recommended as otherwise the ring will lose its shape. Please remember that due to the width of the ring you should also choose a ring size one to two sizes larger. The wider a ring is, the larger it needs to be to fit well. The oxidation and formation of black oxide and green patina is completely normal and not harmful, but depending on your taste it may look "antique" or a little unsightly. This green patina is often incorrectly referred to as verdigris. The green coloring is caused by the formation of salts from organic acids and is a surface layer that basically has a protective effect on the metal and prevents it from erosion. Contrary to popular belief, this patina is not harmful to health, neither if swallowed nor on the skin, unless you have an allergy. The oxidation layer that may form on your piece of jewelry and make it darker or slightly greenish can be easily rubbed away with a silver cleaning cloth. If that is not enough, I recommend an old toothbrush with a little toothpaste. Rub the jewelry gently with it and then rinse with lukewarm water.
